Catered a wedding for us at the Heritage Barn in Stow , Ohio on6-28-2014. Food was excellant and the staff was very accommodating. Staff went out of their way to help out and go beyond their usual routine. I would highly recommend this local business. We came from Arizona for our daughters wedding and were the parents of the bride and were highly impressed.

I was completely flabbergasted when at the end our wedding tasting, I was asked to pay $20 per person for the tasting! WTF! Who charges for a tasting when you are about to spend $11,000 on your event?! I was never even told about this charge prior to coming in for the tasting either - it was more like, "ok, I'll take the payment for the tasting now". Who said anything about a charge!? Aside from this, the quality of the food is very poor. The chicken parm tasted like cardboard, the roast beef was obviously just thawed from being frozen and it was rubbery and tasted like it was heated in a microwave. We tried a pork dish that was covered in gelatinous slime and was absolutely disgusting. The only thing that was ok was the stuffed shells. Did I seriously pay $20 PER PERSON for this? Even more, we had a tasting at another catering company (Taste of Excellence) that was way more professional, the food was cooked fresh, and they didn't charge us for a tasting. Totally Cooked charged us $20 per person for literally "tastes" of the food (ie: tiny portions) - maybe I wouldn't have been so disappointed paying $20 if the amount of food wasn't microscopic - at least I would have gotten a meal out of it! There is no way that amount of food even cost them $5. The other catering company served us an entire 5 course meal with no questions asked. Lastly, the other/better catering company gave us a quote of $8,000 for more food than what Totally Cooked quoted us! This was an obvious no brainer interms of who to go with for our big day. So overall, very disappointed on a ridiculous quote of $11000 (for what I can get for $8000) and the surprise factor on having to pay for our tasting. Super bummer.

we hired totally cooked for my wedding in chagrin falls ohio. we had an outdoor wedding on the property where i grew up. sara nitzsche was WONDERFUL to work with. very professional, always answering questions, totally on top of everything that we needed. all of our guests raved about the food (BBQ style). totally cooked was affordable and professional. i would give them 10 stars if i could! if you're having a laid-back, outdoor, buffet style event, totally cooked is the way to go!!!

Good food but not nearly enough of it to feed your guests. We hosted a small wedding over the weekend and used Totally Cooked as our caterer. We gladly paid the $20. fee per person for the tasting menu and were glad that we did so that we could make some adjustments and plan a menu that our guests would love. One item that we decided was a must was the smoked gouda macaroni and cheese. We provided an accurate food count and were on our way for our big day. Everything was great through the hors d'oeuvres until the main meal, served as a buffet, arrived for delivery. Our coordinator let us know immediately that she did not think there was enough food. My husband and I were in the line, and I was shocked to find that the macaroni and cheese barely scraped the bottom of the pan and we only had one refill (also, no need to have a refill when they could have simply added six times the amount of food to the same dish). I barely took any food and immediately called the caterer several times to alert them that we were going to run out of food but was unable to reach anyone. Embarrassingly, several guests were aware of the issue and took small portions of food. Despite this, we ran out of our side dishes, including the zucchini, and three people did not have any. While the food tasted great, none of that matters if you can't rely on your caterer to provide more than enough food given your count so that you don't have to worry (and actually) run out of food. The coordinator, who was extremely helpful throughout the process, followed up with us and we shared the positive aspects of our experiences as well as this issue. This was their response: "I am very sorry to hear that you ran short on Saturday as I can imagine your embarrassment for running out of the side dishes. I did some investigating on the portions of everything to ensure we did send the correct amount of food to your wedding. The math for serving the 38 people was correct. We truly don't experience a shortage of food at most of our events. We portion 4 oz of each side as a standard of our business and have found most success in doing this. I am sorry that this happened and if you were thinking of utilizing us in the future, I hope that we're able to work together again. To be preventative of this happening in the future, I would make sure to include more than enough food because as you had mentioned, we typically do get feedback more times than not that food is left over." I can tell you that every single one of our guests would agree that there was not enough food for 38 people. And I can also assure you as someone who plans events professionally that assuming an exact small portion of food for your guest count is not standard practice. There always should be more than enough to feed guests once through, and even enough that some people could even have seconds. This is not a shocking concept. In any case, if you are planning to use Totally Cooked, and go with a buffet style service, I would highly recommend ordering far more food than you think you will need (do not expect this guidance from their staff because we certainly did not receive it). For instance, in order to have actually fed our 38 guests sufficiently, I think that we would have needed to order enough sides for 48 people. That's too bad, because we could have made some amazing mac and cheese the day ahead to serve if we would have known...

Totally Cooked catered a birthday party for my mom's 85th birthday. I made all the arraignments from Kansas City for the party in Mogadore,OH. The staff was very easy to work with, and the food was great. I highly recommend them.
